What if the coat isn't the correct size?
For 29 years Mill Valley has been getting the size correct 9 out of 10 times. If for any reason you or a present recipient need a different size or even a different style. Simply fold the the coat back nicely in the carton and send the item back to Mill Valley's factory store for a prompt size or style exchange at no additional shipping or handling charges back to the customer.
What if the sleeves or hem need alterations?
You will find Mill Valley's simple alternation instruction sheet in every order. Most are easy cuff or hem alternations and are promptly done for a small fee (1/2 price for non-promotional coats and $48.00 for promotional coats) in house at Mill Valley's workshop. Fill out the conveniently simple alteration sheet included in each carton, return it to Mill Valley and our workshop will alter the garment to your specifications and it will be shipped back to you all at no additional cost.
I received my coat as a present, may I return it for a different style and/or size?
There is no extra cost for any exchanges. Simply peruse the catalog included in the carton or access our easy to navigate website www.millvalleyleather.com and choose a new coat. Next send the coat back with the Exchange Policy form filled out with the desired size, style, and color so we can ship your new coat as soon as we recieve the coat you are exchanging. Mill Valley will ship your new choice to you free of any shipping or handling charges.
Note: The new coat selected may have a different price which would need to be taken care of by talking with the customer service desk.
Thank you for the beautiful coat, but I am unable to use it. May I return my purchase?
CURRENT POLICY
EASY / NO HASSLE PROMPT EXCHANGES
(For all Holiday gift recipients you have 14 days after December 25 to make an exchange free of charge.)
You have 30 business days to exchange the item for any other size, style, or color. Free of Charge.
Rarely is a style or size issue unable to be resolved with another one of our 200 plus styles. But if it can't be resolved this season you are entitled to a full refund less a redeemable 8.75% restock fee on the credit card used for purchase. Purchaser will be issued a Mill Valley Purchase Certificate for an 8.75% restock fee. The Purchase Certificate can be applied toward the purchase of any item at any future date, it does not expire, and can be transferred to anyone.
This restock fee is for the fees we incur from the credit card companies and to cover the cost of processing the coat through the finishing room.
Shipping charges are nonrefundable.
Please Note:
No exchanges/returns will be accepted after 30 days. (Exception with the holiday season-you have 14 days after December 25th.)
Also, any coat returned that has been worn or soiled in any matter is subject to a cleaning and finish charge. Coats average $40.00-$90.00 to clean. Mill Valley does NOT accept coats that have endured wear and tear for refund, exchange, or store credit.
All SALE coats are non-refundable. They can be exchanged for size as inventory allows or can be exchanged for any other merchandise in Mill Valley's line. Alterations on promotional coats cost $48.00 per type of alteration (cuffs or hem).
The customer is responsible for the cost of shipping the coat back to the Mill Valley factory. Mill Valley will then send the new item via UPS ground at no additional cost. For all sale coat purchases there will be an additional $25.00 shipping fee for each exchange.
All merchandise being sent back to our store must be in the company's possession before an exchange will be sent out.
Mill Valley Factory sale prices may change at any time and Mill Valley does not credit or refund any price differences for previously purchased coats. Sorry there are no exceptions. All coats are subject to the listed price as of the date of purchase.
Important:
For altered or custom made coats there are no returns or exchanges at any time of the year. Understandably, we cannot make any exceptions at any time.
Note: Refunds may take up to 60 business days for administration and security.
We cannot allow exceptions to Mill Valley's generous purchase policies for any reason at any time. Mill Valley reserves the right to change any of the above policies at any time.
